FCI Constructors, based in Durango, is the general contractor on the Cimarron Athletic Field project. Construction on the field began in early March, with the base layer of gravel now nearing completion. This foundational step sets the stage for the next phase, which will be the building of the stormwater management system.

Construction of the turf soccer field, the all-weather eight-lane track, and dedicated spaces for field events is scheduled to be completed by late August, weather permitting. We look forward to having our first home soccer game in six years in September, as well as the first track meet in the history of Ouray, San Miguel, and San Juan counties.
